What's going on around here? So many attempted break ins

in the area. The latest one was an attempt at the Country Club.

Congratulations to Gary Ganger on his retirement;

now we know what the rocking chairs are for!

Wow! Have you seen how Dave Muenstermann has

transformed the Don Flessner property and the Elsie Snyder

place? Nice job! Glad you chose to move to Unadilla!

Get well wishes to Dennis Baker who is recuperating at home now,

and to Sharon Demaree and Bill Davis. Continued wishes for Bob

Bryan, Nancy Crownover, Brett Dettmer and Sheila Glathar.

UNADILLA VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, will meet in a publicly convened session on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Library, 770 G Street, Unadilla, Nebraska. The agenda of subjects to be considered at said meeting is kept continuously current and available for public inspection at the Village Office.

1. Certify Fire & Rescue
2. Annual Catering License for The Bar
3. Discussion of Sell of the Quonset Property

Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be enlarged later than twenty-four hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting. Any persons needing special accommodations should contact the Village Office at least five days prior to the meeting date.

"H.A. Butt is having a burglar alarm put in the Bank this week."

Drastic rules to meet the big sugar shortage in the United States:

a limit of 2 lbs. per month, 5 lbs. if you lived on a farm; public

eating places could no longer put any type of sugar on the tables;

a family could get a one time amount of 25lbs. if you could prove

you needed it for canning and preserving; and the manufacture

of ice cream and sherbert was prohibited until further notice.

"Every boy from 12 to 75 years is out trying to save the grain."
