SEAL
Bob Wilhelm and his bingo minions would like to thank everyone
who patronized the Bingo stand at the Otoe County Fair. Proceeds
go to local youth programs. Bingo is sponsored by the local
Legion, VFW and SAL organizations.
Condolences to the many family and friends of Wayne
Wallen who passed away Monday, July 30. His funeral
will be this Friday at the Palmyra Presbyterian Church.
Can you believe it's August already? School will start
on the 15th this year.
A huge thank you to Steve Vampola for his more than generous
donation to the Veterans Room. It is most appreciated.
Another thank you to Tim Engel at the Civil War Museum at
Nebraska City for the donation of IOOF uniforms, swords and
related memorabilia. Some of it will also be displayed at the
Museum of Memories in Syracuse.
And to Berdean West for her donation of the Syracuse
Base Ball Club of 1908 postcard. It will also be donated to
the Museum at Syracuse. The Village would like to thank
the Library for their donation of funds for two large fans to
be used in the Community Center.
Continued get well wishes to Steve Vampola, Frank Schulze,
Pastor Sandy Denton and Bill Davis.
Just a reminder: please do not let the grass from mowing your
lawn get thrown into the street: it clogs up our storm drains.
Thank you!
