LOCAL NEWS

Get well wishes to Norma Jean Boettcher for many reasons!

Sunday afternoon, Dean Luff's, Keith Kimbell's, and Bob Gobber's visited the museum at DeSoto Bend. Sounds like a fascinating place to visit, especially if you're a history buff. They stopped on the way home to visit Sam T. and to view his "condo" under construction. This is one treehouse I'd like to see!

Flags will be put up at the cemetery this Saturday morning. Those wishing to help should check in with Keith Kimbell at TR's. They will be taken down Monday evening.

Thanks to all the volunteers for putting together and installing the new benches and trash receptacles on Main Street - they look great! Also, thanks to Tonya Johnson for painting the trim on the Village Office.

On "Clean-Up" day, two roll off dumpsters will be at the park in the circle drive. Car batteries, yard or garden debris, oil, chemicals, or major appliances WILL NOT be accepted. TV's, microwaves, and latex paint will be taken. Flyers will be sent to all residents. A Board member will be present to assist you should you have any questions.

Corrections: Verneda Kimbell's birthday is 5-21 not 5-20. Ned & Kate Lucas celebrated their anniversary on 5-18

Did you know if you started using cloth napkins it would keep 500,000 tons of paper based trash out of landfills each year? Even considering the cost of laundering those napkins, the impact on the planet would be huge!
