10 and under team from Syracuse will play

against the boys from Plattsmouth.

Saturday, June 7, OCGS members and the Otoe County

Museum of Memories gave a joint presentation

rededicating the Nursery Hill marker just west of Syracuse

and commemorating the Ft. Kearney Cut-Off and its

various routes through Syracuse, Unadilla, and Palmyra.

presenters, followed by a question and answer session with

the Bob Fey family. Forty two people attended. Light

refreshments were served.

Friday, 6-12-1914, The Otoe Union:

"A Fly Swatter Free with each sack of Schminke's 'Best'

Flour. For sale by W.F. Hair. (adv.)". Deaths of former

residents Dr. W.B. Swisher at Los Angeles, and A.A. Cone

at Lincoln, were reported. Harry Ehlers of Otoe and Minnie

Knickman of Unadilla were married at Nebraska City.

A son was born to Leonard Ankron. Carl Fey was clerking

in Farnsworth's Pharmacy. The UHS Class of 1910

held a reunion.
