Really Bad_Tornado

Springtime in Nebraska!

Monday evening, May 9, the area had hail, high winds, and lots of

tornado sightings. Our siding (and probably the roof) are missing

some good size chunks and one of the storm windows is broken.

At one time we could see clouds going in 2 different directions.

Talk about a bumpy night! The good news: no one was hurt

that we know of.

Zahns bee_swarm_500

Todd & Corinne Zahn had a bunch of visitors over the weekend -

about 30,000 to be exact. A swarm of honey bees looking for a

new hive landed in one of their trees, but now have been removed

by a professional. (thanks to Corinne for the photo.)

What you can do to prevent cross connections and keep your

drinking water safe: Protect faucet extentions by installing proper

backflow devices (hose bib vacuum breakers) on all faucets

capable of having a hose or other extension attached.
