Continued get well wishes to Steve Vampola, Frank Schulze,

Pastor Sandy Denton and Bill Davis.

Just a reminder: please do not let the grass from mowing your

lawn get thrown into the street: it clogs up our storm drains.

Thank you!

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

mailbox 3

Friday, 8-2-1918, The Otoe Union:

Bentley Smith "Doc" Dean, uncle of Guy Dean, dropped

dead at the lumberyard after loading cement blocks. He was

49 years of age. H.G. Palmer went to Colorado to look at land.

O.M. Sasseen was selling "Ajax Road King" tires; they had

"shoulders of strength" and "more tread on the road."

There were several letters "from somewhere in France."
