Norm & Rose Ann Duncan attended the memorial service for Patty Walcott in Elmwood Sunday afternoon.
Bob & Barb Wilhelm visited the International Quilt Study Center & Museum at 33rd & Holdrege, Lincoln, Sunday afternoon. They viewed both the "Yikes! Stripes!" and the "Chintz Appliqué" displays in the second floor gallery. The Virtual Gallery on the first floor displayed nearly 600 quilts by projection of all patterns and colors. Definitely worth the $5 admission fee!
Brian & Carrie Duncan, who live at Sawyer, ND, put out 600 sandbags in preparation of their "chest deep" snow melting. Although not right on the Red River, it sounds like they have the same problems.
Bob & Barb Wilhelm got treated to cake and ice cream Sunday evening to help celebrate Maisie Hillman's 7th birthday.

The Syracuse boys and girls ball teams will be using our field again this season, with games and practices almost every evening. Janet and Diane Oelke and their church group will again be in charge of the concession stand this season.

Friday, 4-2-1909, The Otoe Union: Paul Naeve went to Nebraska City to file his second set of naturalization papers. He took John Pell and Burt Russell along as witnesses. A.H. Soflin was doing all kinds of repair work. Farmers in North Russell were planting oats. A son was born to E. Kramers'. Elizabeth (Ashton) Breckbill died and was buried at Dudley Cemetery.
