REGULAR BOARD MEETING
October 12, 2022
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, was held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. at the Unadilla Library. Notice of said meeting and proposed agenda of then known subjects was given by posting in the three following places within the Village: Countryside Bank, Post Office, and Community Center Notice Board; and by serving a copy of said notice to each member of the Board of Trustees more than 5 days prior to said meeting. Trustees present: Dan Crownover, Dale Stoner, Janet Oelke, Scott Hincker, Clark Stubbendeck. Visitors: none
Chairman Crownover called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and opened the One- & Six-Year Public Hearing. He reminded everyone of the location of the Open Meetings Act Poster.
Hincker made a motion to approve the September 2022 minutes and Budget Hearing minutes; Stubbendeck seconded. Roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. None voted nay. Motioned carried 5-0. Stoner made a motion to approve the September 2022 treasurer’s report, bank statements, reconciliation, and receipts; Oelke seconded. Roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. The following voted Nay: none. Motion carried 5-0.

Stubbendeck made a motion to pay claims seconded by Hincker. On a roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. None voted nay. Motion carried 5-0.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The amount of the Keno Check was $780.27
Water consumed: 1,105,000; water paid for: 897,000; balance for month:
-208,000; YTD: -2,233,000. Bohl Plumbing was called to schedule our annual backflow inspection. There was a water main break at the corner of 5th and F Street that Lovell Excavation was called to fix. Fire trucks filling at the hydrant by the bank for a large fire north of town may have been the cause of the break.
Schoolhouse items: Nothing currently
Street Project: The USDA has approved the payment of $442,780.41 to Pavers. Completion date is set for November 6th.

NEW BUSINESS
The One- and Six-Year Public Hearing was closed at 8:00.
Hincker made a motion to approve Resolution R1-22 One- and Six-Year Street Plan, seconded by Stubbendeck. On a roll call vote, Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. None voted nay. Motion carried 5-0.
Stubbendeck made a motion to approve the new home construction at 1350 C Street previously discussed by phone, seconded by Oelke. On a roll call

vote, Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. None voted nay. Motion carried 5-0. The Planning Commission voted to recommend the build at their Special Meeting on October 4th to the board. The homeowner requested this be approved sooner due to possible weather conditions.
Stoner made a motion to approve KJ Subdivision, a tract of land located in the S.W. ¼ of the S.W. ¼ of Section 3, Tract 8N, Range 10E of the 6th P.M., Otoe County Nebraska, recommended by the Planning Commission on their Oct. 4th Special Meeting, seconded by Stubbendeck. On a roll call vote, Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. None voted nay. Motion carried 5-0.
The list of delinquent water and sewer patrons was reviewed: Account #037, 048, 074, 075, 104, 108, 114,115, & 150.
In correspondence: The Lincoln Food Bank will continue to do food distributions. Unadilla Fire & Rescue will have a pancake feed here at the Community Center on October 30th.
