If you're not doing anything Friday night, stop up at the gym and

help us get ready for Groundhog Day. Peggy Leefers reports

there are a couple of spaces left for crafters/flea market items.

Also, corrections to the ad in last weeks paper: the craft and

flea market is open from 8:30 to 4:00; the silent auction

proceeds go to the Unadilla Community Foundation.

Hope to see you there!

Cheryl Halvorsen was kind enough to speak to the Christian Church

members Sunday morning about the Syracuse Food Bank. She

stated that the Food Bank was started in 1997 and moved to the

Senior Center in 2002. They are serving approximately 159

families in 8 communities. Cheryl stated right now they really need

volunteers and that when donating, please remember non-food items

such as laundry soap, toothpaste, paper products, and pasta.

Let's face it, sometimes we need a little help in the romance department.

Well, the Lofte Community Theatre in Manley has taken steps to

create an enjoyable evening for singles, sweethearts,

and even old married folks!

On Saturday, February 13th, the Lofte is holding a

special Sweetheart Event to celebrate Valentine's Day.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Wine tastings will be provided

A variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres will be on hand

and later, the instrumental group "Skylark" will take the stage.

New this year, Krambeck Photography will will present

for professional photo opportunities. The only

thing that's missing is you and your date!
