            The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the Village of Unadilla, NE, was held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Library at the Community Center. Notice of said meeting was given by posting in the three following places with the village: Countryside Bank, Post Office, and Community Center message board, not published in the Syracuse Journal-Democrat, published on A copy of said notice was served to each member of the Planning Commission more than 10 days prior to the meeting date. Members present were: Steve Vodicka, Irene Rodaway, and Matt Daharsh, Jason Schomerus and Chad Pester. Visitors: Joseph and Brizett Peterson, Shon and Meg Ryan, and Dan Crownover.

            Pester made a motion to approve the April 17, 2014 minutes, Schomerus seconded, and motion carried 4-0.


            New Building/Zoning permits issued: Clerk stated that Bob Stanley was issued a variance for a new shed to be put up on his property.  The building is under 100 sq ft and is not a permanent

fixture.  It was noted from the Chairman of the Village Board, Dan Crownover, that he did talk with property owner Jim Walters and he did not have a problem with that.

            There were no Public Comments.


            Property at 575 E St. was discussed.  The potential owners, Joseph and Brizett Peterson were present to discuss the building of a shed on that property. A diagram of the property was presented by Chairman of the Village Board, Dan Crownover. Visitors Shon and Meg Ryan stated no problems with the shed as long as water was diverted to the north street.  They also stated they had no problems with moving the existing fense.

            It was decided that the Peterson’s present a copy of the dimensions and layout of the building along with plans of the driveway’s to the clerk’s office and the Planning Commission would be present at the August 13th Village Board Meeting to review the plans and make their recommendations.

                        The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

The next meeting will be October 16, 2014, 7:30 p.m., at the Village Library.
