NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

Holly and_Bells_250

Friday, 12-27-1918, The Otoe Union:

From George E. Brandt, near Toule, France: "The 11th hour,

the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Firing has ceased on

both sides and the "kid" is O.K. and feeling fine. It sure seems

queer tonight. It is so quiet."

Friday, 1-3-1919, The Otoe Union:

"The big rabbit hunt was pulled off on New Year's day.

The total number killed was 367. A good time was had by all

and no accidents. Edd Stanley and John Stilwell were captains."
