REGULAR BOARD MEETING
November 09, 2021
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, was held on Tuesday, November 09, 2021, 7:30 p.m. at the Unadilla Community Library. Notice of said meeting and proposed agenda of then known subjects was given by posting in the three following places within the Village: Countryside Bank, Post Office, and Community Center Notice Board; and by serving a copy of said notice to each member of the Board of Trustees more than 5 days prior to said meeting. Trustees present: Dan Crownover, Dale Stoner, Janet Oelke, and Clark Stubbendeck. Absent and not voting; Scott Hincker. Visitor; Fredrick Rumery.
Chairman Crownover called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. He reminded everyone of the location of the Open Meetings Act Poster.
Stoner made a motion to approve the October 2021 minutes; Stubbendeck seconded. Roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. The following voted nay, none. Motion carried 4-0.
Oelke made a motion to approve the October 2021 treasurer’s report, bank statements, reconciliation, and receipts; Stoner seconded. Roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. The following voted nay, none. Motion carried 4-0.

Stubbendeck made a motion to pay claims seconded by Oelke. On a roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. The following voted nay: none. Motion carried 4-0.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Keno check was in the amount of $0.00
Water consumed: 934,000; water paid for: 753,000; balance for month:
-181,000; YTD: -1,951,000. A water leak on 824 G street on the service line was repaired by Lovell Excavating. Clerk reported the water sample came back positive with coliform. A repeat sample and upper and lower sample were taken. 2 came back with a positive 1. The DE&E has put us in a level one assessment. Paperwork will be filled out and continued monitoring will be done. With the passing of LB22 sales tax on residential water will not be charged starting October 1st. The Dept. of Environment and Energy received our response to the noncompliance of our wastewater lagoon. Ebert is looking into solutions to the elevated ammonia level.
Schoolhouse items: Stubbendeck put in the new benches outside the Community Center the Library donated. Kurt Kastens Electric repaired the electrical outlet in the kitchen.
Street Project: Nothing to discuss currently. Bids will be sent out this winter.
Full Time Employee: After interviewing the four applicants for the maintenance position, the job was offered and accepted by Edward Meinke. He will start work for the Village November 15th.

NEW BUSINESS
Stoner made a motion to appoint Evan Wickersham as the Village Engineer for the year 2022 seconded by Oelke. Roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. The following voted nay, none. Motion carried 4-0.
Oelke made a motion to appoint Evan Wickersham as the Village Street Superintendent for 2022 seconded by Stubbendeck. Roll call vote: Stoner, Oelke, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. The following voted nay, none. Motion carried 4-0.
Stubbendeck made a motion to approve and pass Resolution #R16-21 seconded by Stoner Endorsing the Resumption of a Lottery Game in Conjunction with Advanced Gaming Technologies and Approving “Mal’s Bar & Grill, LLC” as its sales outlet in Unadilla, Nebraska at 359 Main Street, Unadilla, Nebraska. On a roll call vote, Stoner, Oelke, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea. The following voted nay, none. Motion carried 4-0.
The list of delinquent water and sewer patrons was reviewed Account # 037, 074, 088,104, 106,108, 114 and 115.
Correspondence: The annual Keno repost was completed by the Clerk and Advanced Gaming this month.
