REGULAR BOARD MEETING, PUBLIC HEARING &

 STATUTORY REORGINIZATION

January 11, 2023

 

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, was held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 7:30 p.m. at the Unadilla Library. Notice of said meeting and proposed agenda of then known subjects was given by posting in the three following places within the Village: Countryside Bank, Post Office, and Community Center Notice Board; and by serving a copy of said notice to each member of the Board of Trustees more than 5 days prior to said meeting. Trustees present: Dan Crownover, Fredrick Rumery, Troy Whitehead and Clark Stubbendeck. Visitors: Mal

Chairman Rumery called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. He reminded everyone of the location of the Open Meetings Act Poster. 

Stubbendeck made a motion to approve the December 2022 minutes; seconded by Whitehead. On a roll call vote, Rumery, Whitehead, Stubbendeck, and Crownover voted yea, none voted nay, motion carried 4-0.

Stubbendeck made a motion to approve the December 2022 treasurer’s report; bank statements, reconciliation, and receipts, Whitehead seconded. On a roll call vote, Rumery, Whitehead, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea, none voted nay, motion carried 4-0.

Crownover made a motion to approve the claims, seconded by Whitehead. On a roll call vote, Rumery, Whitehead, Stubbendeck and Crownover voted yea, none voted nay, motion carried 4-0.                          

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  

                                               

          Water consumed: (588,000); water paid for: (601,000); balance for month:(+13,000). The regular water test for December came back good.  Water usage seems to be back in a normal range.

          Schoolhouse items:  The exercise bike for the workout room has been reserved from Body Basics and still waiting on it’s arrival. Frisbee was removed from furnace successfully.

          Street Project:  Final paperwork was sent to JEO and final bill has been paid.

          Research surrounding town festivities to decide if/when we will do village BBQ as Mal’s will not be available the 24th of June.

          Discussed having Barb Wilhelm fill in while Tiffany is on vacation.

          Public Comments: Mal and brought to the board the idea of swinging gates/doors outside of the establishment in hopes to keep patrons from leaving with alcohol. Will connect to posts and have them black powder coated to match existing posts.

          Discussed paperwork for Fredric and Tiffany to be put on accounts for check signing and withdrawals.

          Discussed Corrine and Tiffany being bonded.

NEW BUSINESS

         

          Crownover made a motion to renew liquor licenses for Nitty Gritty and Mal’s Bar & Grill. Stubbendeck seconded. On a roll call vote, Stubbendeck, Crownover, Rumery, and Whitehead voted yea, none voted nay, motion carried 4-0.

          Whitehead made a motion to send Tiffany to clerk school March 12th-17th, 2023. Stubbendeck seconded. On a roll call vote, Whitehead, Stubbendeck, Rumery, and Crownover voted yea. None voted nay. Motion carried 4-0.
