Garden scene crop 300

Let the gardening begin! So far, we at the Western Wilhelm Outpost have

planted onions, carrots, beets, tomatoes and peppers. The rhubarb is off to

a bad start though. Anyone have some they want to share? Will trade you

some Japanese or old fashioned iris for it!

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

colorized old photos 8 Girls delivering ice 1918 495

Friday, 4-18-1919, The Otoe Union:

"Unadilla will be safe for ice if it keeps freezing like it has been."

The heavy rains washed out the approaches to many culverts and bridges,

making roads so impassable it was hard to get to town. Roy Wood installed

an electric light plant for Harvey West. There was still a lot of

corn shelling going on.
