Get well soon 3

Get well wishes for Tiffany Rodaway and Nina Jean Rohlfs.

Please continue to keep the Nebraska City area in your thoughts as they

struggle to repair and clean up the damage from the flood. It's going to be a long

summer for them folks.

Rest in Peace large

Condolences to the family and friends of June Tipken, who passed

away April 22nd. She was formerly a resident, worked at the bank

for many years, and the wife of Ralph.

Arbor Day

What are you going to plant to celebrate Arbor Day? Thinking it might be more

of a pruning and transplanting day at the Western Wilhelm Outpost. Thanks to

Bob Brandt for the seedlings. They will go into pots for a year or so, then the

grandchildren will plant them in the spot of their choice.

Didn't Easter Sunday turn out to be a beautiful day? We attended our

church's sunrise service and witnessed the baptism of four new members:

Kaden Aernie, Kayla Griepenstroh, Charlee Luff, and Cheyenne Wilcoxon.

Then everyone gathered in the basement for photos and a pot luck

breakfast. Later in the afternoon, we hosted our family for Easter dinner.

As always, it was a wonderful time, full of laughter and some great stories.

From Sue Saathoff: The Unadilla Library hosted a painting class on

Saturday. Participants got to choose what they wanted to paint: a gourd,

a barn quilt, or on canvas. Thanks to Sharon Demaree for leading the class.

Reminder: the area fenced in around the community center's first

purpose is for the enjoyment of children. You are more than welcome to

bring your dog into it, just make sure you close the gate if you are going

to take its leash off. And here's the major reason for the reminder: please

refer to the first sentence and pick up the poop! We all share this wonderful

so let's keep it that way.
