Bingo

Bob Wilhelm would like to remind everyone to stop by the Bingo stand in the

air conditioned Fair Center during the county fair next week. The proceeds help

fund local youth programs. And it's always lots of fun! The booth is manned by

members of the American Legion, VFW and Sons of the American Legion.

Please show your support!

The Unadilla Area Fund met Tuesday moring, July 16 at the Library.

The Memorial Day luncheon and the Unadilla BBQ were discussed.

The speaker for Groundhog Day was discussed and Jeff Barnes was

decided on. His program: "A Bad Man in a Better Place: Jesse James

in Nebraska." The next meeting will be held October 15 and we will be

preparing for the All Fund Drive. If you would like to join this amazing

group, contact any member: Bob Brandt, Donna Crownover, Maureen

Vogt, Peggy Leefers, Chad Pester, Sue Saathoff, Glenda Willnerd,

Corinne Zahn or Barb Wilhelm.

Retirement next exit

Congratulations to Bob Wilhelm on his third and FINAL retirement.

I'm letting him adjust for a few weeks and then I'm showing him the

"Honey Do" list I've been keeping since 1983!

We had a great day trip with the grandsons and daughter Jenn to Fort

Atkinson at Ft. Calhoun Monday. It was the first fort to be built in the land

known then as the Louisiana Purchase in 1819. So much history there and in

the Visitor's Center. Day permit $6, $2 for adults, $1 kids under 13.
