We lost a wonderful man Saturday, Roland Rodaway, left us to join his family. He will be so missed. Condolences to his many family and friends.

Roland Ivan Rodaway, 100 of Unadilla, Nebraska, passed away on December 28, 2019, at the Syracuse Hospital. He was born on October 9, 1919, on a farm near Unadilla to Ivan and Myrtle (Nash) Rodaway. He was a graduate of Unadilla High School.
He farmed until the age of 90 in spite of the loss of his right hand in a farming accident. He was a lifetime member of the Unadilla Christian Church where he served as an elder for 80 years. Throughout his lifetime he donated over 180 units of blood to the American Red Cross. One of the highlights of his life was being crowned King of the 2014 Unadilla Groundhog Day Celebration. He enjoyed visiting with people and appreciated the gift of friendship.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, two cousins Glen Wyatt and Lowell Fey and two sisters-in-law, Anita Severe and Julie Randall and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Constance Rodaway, sisters –Bernice, Nina Severe and Eileen Wallen, brothers – Lyle, Norman and Nathan, stepbrothers – Burt and Gale Randall, and half-brother Keith Rodaway. Six nephews and one great nephew also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be at the Fusselman Allen Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse on January 1st with family greeting friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2nd at 10:30 A.M. at the Unadilla Christian Church in Unadilla.
Memorials may be given to the Unadilla Christian Church or donor’s choice.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, will meet in a publicly convened session on Wednesday, January 08, 2020, at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Library, 770 G Street, Unadilla, Nebraska. The agenda of subjects to be considered at said meeting is kept continuously current and available for public inspection at the Village Office.

2: Renew Clerks Bond
Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be enlarged later than twenty-four hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting. Any persons needing special accommodations should contact the Village Office at least five days prior to the meeting date.
