Rest in peace

Condolences to the many family and friends of Shirley Stubbendick. You may remember her as the teacher and librarian with the big smile at Unadilla Grade School. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, February 29, 10:30 a.m., at North Branch Lutheran Church, rural Avoca, NE.

Sunday afternoon, February 16, a joint meeting of Otoe County Legion Posts and their Auxiliaries was held at the Unadilla Community Center and was hosted by Massie-Richards Post #100 and Auxiliary of Syracuse. Posts from Syracuse, Palmyra and Talmage were represented.
