Congratulations to the Brandt brothers! Barrett took 1st place at State Wrestling in the 106 lb. class
and Burton took 2nd in the 170 lb. class. Way to go boys!
So sad to report the passing of Viola (Ebert) Gartner, wife of Ralph, and mother of Carolyn Kastens,
Lyle, and Irene Rodaway. She was quite a lady and will be missed by many. We considered ourselves
lucky to know her.
Tuesday, February 18, the Unadilla Area Fund met at the Community Center Library with Maureen Vogt, Donna Crownover, Peggy Leefers, Barb Wilhelm, Chad Pester and Bob Brandt present. Reports were read and approved. Various aspects of Groundhog Day were discussed, and improvements noted for next year. Wally Steil from CBS Signs Inc. gave us information and pricing on putting in an electronic sign out front for dispersing information to the community. Our ideas will be presented to the Town Board and see if they approve. Next meeting is scheduled for May 19th and we will be discussing the upcoming BBQ. We would be glad to have you join us!
The cemetery map and burial lists are now in our wonderful, new, cemetery shelter at the Unadilla
Cemetery. A huge thank you to Dean Luff, Keith Kimbell and Galen Crawford and their many
helpers. To date there are 1087 burials that we have verified. Questions, corrections or additional info,
please let me know!
Get well wishes to Sandi Kimbell. Continued wishes to Milton Leefers, Nina Rohlfs and Dwight Kastens.
