BOARD MEETING TONIGHT (WEDNESDAY)
11-11-2020
7:30 p.m. in the Village Library
When I was a kid in the Army for 3 1/2 years I served with some great young men from across our nation. Young Native American, Asian American, African American, Cuban American, Italian American, German American and American men from every walk of life. We all came together to serve as Americans. They were amazing kids with wonderful stories. You may not be able to tell but this was a transformative experience for this farm boy. Oddly enough I didn't know and didn't care about their political affiliation if they had one. The military had a way of educating and socializing individuals into being valuable members of something much greater than we could have become on our own. I owe a lot to my Uncle Sam. I think we all could use a little boot camp right now. God Bless Veterans and God Bless the USA. From Cub Reporter Bob Wilhelm.

The top subject of conversation continues to be who has Covid-19. Get well wishes and prayers to everyone.

We believe the railroad bridges west and east of town are basically complete. Remember those trains start running in January!

Thank you to Marie DeRoe for donating a record book from the early 1900's to our Resource Room.
Betty Tacket Abel reports the book she wrote about her Dad, Darold Tackett, and his military service, has been accepted into the Library of Congress. We will have a copy in the Veterans Room soon.

According to the Village Dog Ordinance, when your dog leaves your property it should be on a leash. The Cornhusker Country Music Theater is gradually getting a NEW LOOK!
As of now, the top front is still old barn board, but there is a new, white metal awning where the old shake shingles used to be and below that, new, Cornhusker red, metal siding. Little by little, the whole front will have a new, fresher look.
