There were two accidents on Hwy #2 this past weekend, just east of Unadilla, within minutes of each other. Not many details, but 3 people were taken to the hospital.

Rest in peace

Condolences to the families of Steve and Ron Vodicka, on the passing of their mother Ruby.

Condolences to the family of Bryan Baker on his passing. He will be laid to rest in the Unadilla Cemetery.

If you drive by the Brett Lucas home north of Unadilla, you will see the old house is down and buried. Some great childhood memories were made there!

Snowflakes 2 250

Not to be a downer, but in 2017, our first snow was on October 31; in 2018 it was on October 14; in 2019 it was on October 28; and in 2020 it was on October 25. Any guesses on this year???

When we were children and staying at Grandmother Fisk's house, we would walk through her field, over a rickety wooden stile, and through the driveway of Walter & Ruby Vohs' farmstead, to get to Grandmother's mailbox, which was out on their road. I had not thought about that experience (one time I got lost in the corn field before I found the stile), in many, many years. We found this southwest of Unadilla on one of our Sunday drive-abouts, and all those memories came flooding back!
