What a busy weekend! The flags were put up at the Unadilla Cemetery on Friday night, and the wind we had over the weekend helped show off their beauty. Thanks to everyone who helped put them up and take them down. A gentleman who works for Wyuka in Lincoln, and whose parents are buried here, called to tell us how beautiful our cemetery looked, along with several comments on Facebook. It takes a village to make this happen!

Unadilla Cemetery was honored to have a flag flown in Afghanistan by Cpt. Marcus Wilhelm. It reads, "In memoryof the 31 Heroes who perished on Extortion 17, August 6, 2011" and flew at the memorial they made for them outside their CP area at Forward Operating Base Shank. Thank you Marcus for the flag, and for your service to our country.
Although we couldn't attend, we had several tell us about the beautiful ceremony at Hopewell Cemetery, provided by the Bryan family,
The dinner at the Community Center was well attended and served 80+ people. A huge thank you to the Young Men's Club, who served the meal and put away the table and chairs. You can't imagine how much that was appreciated! The History and Veterans rooms had around 35 visitors. It was great to get back to normal.

Don't forget the Unadilla Farmer's Market starts this weekend, 8 - 10 a.m., on the south side of Main Street.

The Syracuse Alumni Banquet was held this weekend on Sunday, May 29. My class, Class of 1967, was one of those honored.
