The Summer Reading Program sponsored by the Unadilla Community Library has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Darn it!

Does anyone know why there are "road counters" on western H Road?

What happened to gentle spring rains? Now we have 1" - 3" hail and 60-70 mph winds. Maybe the "global warming" are on to something?

Rest in peace

I am sad to report that our nephew, Cory Hanke, youngest son of my sister Mary, passed away on Friday after his courageous battle with cancer. Our family is so saddened by this loss and we'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and concern.

We also lost Kenny Price, teacher at Syracuse for 25+ years, and an all-around good guy.

Don't miss all the activities and fun planned for this coming Saturday, as we celebrate Unadilla Day! Our town was founded in 1871, and continues changing and growing. Thanks to Mal's Bar & Grill and the Young Men's Club for their inspiration and dedication in keeping this tradition alive.

Farmers Market

Got extra produce, etc, to sell? Remember our Farmer's Market on Main Street every Saturday morning from 8 - 10 a.m. This past week we got some great radishes and more of those spicy pickles. Yum, yum, yum!

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

Man reading newspaper 250

Friday, 6-23-1922, The Otoe Union:

The wheat harvest was starting. Minnie (Ostrander) Graham, wife of Taylor, died and was buried in the Unadilla Cemetery. "Bank of Unadilla" which formed in 1888, became "First National Bank of Unadilla." The City of Syracuse had a half-page advertisement listing all the July 4th activities.
