After 10+ hours, Duane Hansen, who floated down the Missouri River, from Bellevue to Nebr. City in his 800 lb. pumpkin (named Berta), broke the world's record of 25.5 miles, the trip totaling 41 miles. Most of you know Duane for creating Unadilla Bill and Unadilla Billie. Minnie A. Bigler and children were visiting Unadilla. Her maiden name was Underhill and she taught in many of the rural schools around Unadilla in the 1880's. The sale of NE 1-4, Section 10, Town 9, Range 10 from George Wilson to Otto Stubbendick for $31,000, was recorded. Curtis Massie was now living in Torrington, Wyoming.
