The Food Bank will be at the Park today (Wednesday), November 2nd from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Spread the word!

Continued get well wishes to those who've been sick; can't believe we're still getting reports of people having Covid.
Sunday turned out to be a pretty nice day for the end of October. We attended the Fire & Rescue Pancake Breakfast at the Community Center. They had a nice crowd, the food was great, and the Pancake Man knew what he was doing! We didn't catch any pancakes, but we sure ate a few! Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting this great cause.

"Goose Bumps"
By Cub Reporter Bob Wilhelm
Last week the Syracuse Legion and VFW Honor Guard were honored to be asked to provide Military Rites for Marine Corps and Korean War Veteran, Harold Zahn. Harold was a 70 year member of the American Legion, a VFW member, and a 60+ year member of the Honor Guard, which is comprised of both Legion and VFW members. Harold was always honored to help bury a Veteran and was well versed on the proper protocol and flag etiquette. The Honor Guard fell into formation and his casket was placed over the grave, with the two Marines on the funeral detail standing at attention. As Cody, from Fusselman's, was gathering family and friends around the tent to commence the grave side service, the Honor Guard members witnessed an American Bald Eagle fly from the N/W to S/E just 20 feet over the burial tent. This was an amazing thing to witness and an appropriate homage for a Veteran and patriotic servant, as Harold was. It was a Goose Bump moment!

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8. Most of us can cast our votes in the Duncan Building. You can't complain if you don't vote!
"Good morning. Just a little information on a tool that may be helpful for the General Election. A voter may use the website: www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov to verify their polling place and to view their district information. I have also added the sample ballots to the site so a voter will be able to view the ballot they would receive for voting. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions you or voters may have."

Couldn't resist one more Halloween photo. At Sheena Snyder's.
