HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
Here's hoping you have a fun and safe Thanksgiving. The next day starts the Christmas frenzy; we know a lot will be purchased online. But please remember to patronize your local businesses if you can. And, as you're cleaning out those closets for places to hide those presents, remember you can donate them at our hospital thrift shop in Syracuse. They are celebrating their 15th year! Besides giving those items new life, they also donate to those in need at our local schools. We appreciate what they do so much!

"HOT DOG! IT IS "BUNDAMENTALY" UNBELIEVEABLE"
by Cub Reporter Bob Wilhelm
It is amazing, spectacular, and the gift that keeps on giving Clark! And!...it is on display for a limited time only at Nitty Gritty Gas & Thrift in beautiful, historic, Unadilla, Nebraska. Of course, I am talking about the double-barreled Retro Series Pop-Up Hot Dog Toaster by Nostalgia. It not only cooks your hot dogs but toasts your buns at the same time. This is for the man who thinks he has everything. A revealing snapshot of American ingenuity paired with the manufacturing reputation of China. Who said trade agreements can't produce anything of value for the American people? Folks, if you are anywhere in the Quad City area (Unadilla, Otoe, Burr and Lorton), it is worth the drive to check it out, but arrive early to avoid the crowds! Admission is free at this point, but don't wait too long!

Get well wishes to Sharon Demaree and others who've been ill or in the hospital.
Condolences to Lori Boone and family on the passing of her brother.
The Library will be closed on Thursday, 11-24 and Saturday, 11-26.
On one of our drives, we got a little turned around on a country road between Otoe and Avoca. This is what we discovered:

Don't know what kind of goats these are, but thought they were cute!

Hadn't seen a beaver dam in quite a few years!
These kinds of surprises are the best!
Didn't know folks still ate these! I was introduced to them in 7th or 8th grade by my teacher, Ruth Weatherl. If I live to be 100, I'll never forget her lifting the lid on the frying pan and all those legs jumping!
