Some great information. Thanks Corinne Zahn for sharing this:
For your use, distribution, and situational awareness, as we enter into the winter season, this a reminder that financial assistance for utilities and heating bills is available through Nebraska DHHS’ Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) // Need Help With Your Energy Bills? | The LIHEAP Clearinghouse (hhs.gov)
Also, the United Way of the Midlands (www.ne211.org // United Way of the Midlands | Facebook // @nebraska_211 / Twitter) is collecting information on Thanksgiving and Holiday programs happening in local communities around Nebraska, and it’s all available at any time, here: https://search.ne211.org/search?query=PH-2950&query_label=Holiday+Programs&query_type=taxonomy&query_language=en Just put in a zip code, select the correct area from the prompt, and click search. The results can include gift programs as well as holiday food. The 211 Nebraska app also has the same info in a slightly different interface; look under Family – Holiday Programs. You can also call 211 any time or text your zip code to 898211 and they will help find food, holiday resources, or anything else in your area.
Additionally, Nebraska DOT facilitates the 511 platform (online and through mobile apps) which has information on roadway conditions and a snowplow tracker: Nebraska 511 - Traveler Information
Finally, the National Weather Service, Ready.gov, and many others have information on winter preparedness for individuals, families, and more:
Winter Weather | Ready.gov // Preparing for a Winter Storm|Winter Weather (cdc.gov)
Winter Preparedness (weather.gov) // Winter Weather Preparedness

When I was growing up it was always Ford vs. Chevy. To make a long story short, when Bob took his 2010 Ford truck to Dan's because it was having trouble starting, they discovered it still had the original battery in it! Wow! Need I say anything more!!!
Don't know where this came from, but would sure like to have the whole thing. Can you believe we haven't had school in town since the spring of 2006?
