SDA always does a great job honoring local veterans and this year was no exception. The letters written by the students are very thoughtful and much appreciated. Thank you kids!
Continued get well wishes to Andrew Kimbell and Dennis Baker.
Thank you to John Moss for refurbishing the sign at the park. (and the photo!)
Everyone is welcome!
On one of our drive abouts we went to Cook, where there is an active Main Street, new homes, and lots of kids! The covered bridge is always a great backdrop for photos and the entrance sign made us smile!

John Mabry, author of “Nebraska Volleyball – An Origin Story” will be signing books at the Unadilla Community Library. Special Guest, Kathy Drewes -- #32 from the original 1972 team – will also be on hand. If you love Husker Volleyball, this book is a must read.
One more photo from the Hincker family; thank you for all the work you put into this. We enjoyed it so much!
Remnants of past dreams and hard work...the disappearance of the family farm. Taken from the Paisley Bottom Coffee Shop and Critical Thinking Laboratory by renowned Cub Reporter, Bob Wilhelm.
We've lost another childhood friend, Galen Gartner. He lived west of town for many years, and was the son of Randall and Mary. Galen will be laid to rest in the Hopewell Cemetery south of town. Our condolences to his family.

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO
Friday, 11-16-1923, The Otoe Union:
"O.G. Stoner has purchased a new car from Sweet Auto Co. and expects to continue making the (mail) route on time." The high school bb team went to Pleasant Dale and beat them 27 - 9. The girls were forming a bb team also and included: Ruby McCormick, Nellie Isaacs, Anna Meyer, Agnes Horstman, Madge West, and Mattie Taylor. The editor advised his readers: pin headed people seldom see the point. "G.B. White, Hiram Gorsage, and F.C. Schreiner are the horse shoe twisters this week." (the winners?)
