Thanks to the many volunteers and the NMHC Men's Club, who showed up to put up and take down flags at the Unadilla Cemetery. Even the kids got involved...what a great group of people we have in our community! And some of the youngsters tried their hand at folding flags...how great is that! Hope you all had a safe and memorable Memorial Day.

Thank you so much to those of you who contributed your photos!

And what a wonderful lunch the Library workers provided for all those who were out and about Monday. Thank you so much for continuing this tradition. It was SO appreciated!

Farmer's Markets are starting up all around us. Take advantage of their hard work and bring home some goodies!

Last year we barely had ANY rain in May, and now it seems the ground is wet almost every morning! Are we complaining? NO!!! Channel 6 says we are 1/2 an inch shy of breaking the all time record for moisture in May!

Friday, 5-30-1924, The Otoe Union:

Julia Wilkins closed District #69 with a picnic. About 80 people attended and Julia was elected to teach again the following year. Henry Meyers secured a patent on a new type of battery he invented. Mrs. Farnsworth, one of Unadilla's earliest settlers before the railroad was introduced, returned for a visit. John Taylor was the proud owner of a new STAR car.
