THE VILLAGE OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 23rd
The annual Groundhog Golf Tournament will be held this Friday, August 23rd, at the Syracuse Country Club. It's always a good time! Remember: orange is the official color of all things groundhog!!!
You may have noticed all the trucks around the water tower. It is being drained and repaired. The tower has been in this spot as far back as 1927, and before that, it is believed to have been behind the Christian Church. (Any photos floating around out there of the old water tower?
Congratulations to Fred & Marilyn Wallen, who will be celebrating 58 years of marriage on 8-30. Fred is the son of Lloyd & Edith Wallen, and grew up where we live now.
Here you go Husker Volleyball Fans!!!

COME ON OVER!
This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity. People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together.
Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
