Thursday evening at the Duncan Building, Peggy Leefers presented a thoughtful and most interesting program on quilts, and the making of them. All items displayed were from her personal collection and many of them were made by her. 35+ women were in attendance (a small group came from Omaha) and Peggy was assisted by her daughters, who lovingly unfolded, shared, and refolded the quilts. Peggy passed on so much information, I should have been taking notes! Thanks again ladies for such an enjoyable and informational evening.

The NoWear Compound north and west of town hosted a BMX Bike Rally over the weekend and it was reported to have 1500 folks in attendance. Cars were everywhere!

Friday, 9-19-1924, The Otoe Union:

Unadilla baseball team beat Palmyra by 1 point. Sarah Stilwell was teaching at Burr. "Reports sayeth that the familiar auto tags for the year of our Lord, 1925, will be a combination of dark "yaller" and black, similar to those of Missouri this year. We hope the quality of the iron will be better than those furnished this year."
