Just when we decided to take our Oriole feeder down for the winter, one showed up and pretty much cleaned it out! The hummingbird feeder is still being used also. Saturday night into Sunday, we received 1.30" of much needed rain, and our temperature never got over 65...I think it's safe to say Fall is knocking on our door! And it cleared some of the wildfire smoke out of the air.

Congratulations to the Syracuse Rocket Marching Band. They finished first at the Apple Jack Festival. Way to go kids!!!

My family and I will be sewing blocks for the Omaha Quilts of Valor organization this weekend. If you have patriotic fabric you're cleaning out of your stash, please, send it our way! And thanks to Peggy and Barb Leefers, who are also involved in this project through a different chapter. It's such an honor for everyone involved.

All types of medical equipment is donated to the Post Home in Syracuse from Veterans and other folks, for the use of others in need. These items were delivered to an organization who helps homeless people and near homeless people stay housed. Thank you everyone for your contributions...they are most appreciated.

Synopsis: George and Charlotte Hay are fading stars of the 1950s currently playing Private Lives and Cyrano de Bergerac in Buffalo, New York. Personal and marital drama abounds when they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to see their matinee and if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie! Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong. This madcap comedy brings to light the chaos and magic of live theater!

COME ON OVER!
This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity. People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together. Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
