Thanks so much to everyone who showed up to put up and take down the flags at the Unadilla Cemetery. It is most appreciated. The help at Hopewell Cemetery was also appreciated. I know I've said this before, but what a great community we live in! When the youngsters pitch in and help, it's just so rewarding! Hope you all had a safe and memorable holiday weekend.

Farmer's Markets are starting up. Take advantage of their hard work and bring home some goodies! We saw at least 3 tents in Syracuse this past weekend.

VILLAGE CLEAN UP DAY

Village wide clean up day will be June 14th. A dumpster will be located at the east end of the park for Village residents only. Please DO NOT leave items sitting outside the dumpster. No tires, oil, appliances, or batteries. Thanks in advance for your help!

We heard there was another accident at the intersection of Hwy #2 and County Road 20. No details yet.

Once again, thanks so much to the Unadilla Library for organizing and serving the Memorial Day lunch. We are so lucky to have them! It was yummy! We got to visit with some old friends and I got to show off our History and Veterans rooms!

Friday, 5-29-1925, The Otoe Union:

Seven pupils graduated from the Otoe High School. "What we need now is more rain and less frost!" Lizzie Doyle was chosen as a delegate to the Highlanders convention. "Ed and Carl Stanley, Paul Hair, Wm. Taney, and George "Shorty" Rose, left for the Blue River to fish." First frost dates from 1890-1925 were listed, the latest date being May 26, in 1901.
