A PROBLEM SOLVED....maybe

by Renownd Animal Husbandry Cub Reporter Bob Wilhelm

Tuesday morning I was at Nitty Gritty Gas & Thrift, which is the epicenter of commerce and knowledge within the city limits of Unadilla. It is located just off exit #2, regardless of your direction of travel on Hiway 2. On this particular cold day a local cattleman was bemoaning the fact that he had already chopped holes in the ice covering his cattle's water source. He said he will have to repeat that task again and again. After listening to his problem, patiently, I wondered if pouring animal friendly antifreeze into the water would address the issue. Then going one step further I said it outloud. YIKES! I could hear the minds slamming shut. Then again I wondered out loud if he would do this and then butcher one of the cows if that would keep the meat from freezing in the deep freeze. This offers a glimpse into my brilliance because all of the usual crowd that had gathered around the table said they had never thought about that as a solution or an outcome. It was clear to me that I might of as well pack up shop at this location and bring the topic and discussion forward to the Paisely Bottom Coffee Shop and Critical Thinking Laboratory. That is where brillant minds like mine congregate and share the worlds problems and seek their solutions.
