Car thefts were on the rise. "The graders have moved just north of town." Harold Stone was burned in an explosion in Omaha. A new road's proposed route would connect Topeka, Kansas, and Lincoln, Nebraska. It would go through Pawnee City, Tecumseh, Cook, and Syracuse, where it would split into East and West.
