The 2009 Nebraska State Fair is approaching, and Ann Bierbower is searching for volunteers to work in the Nebraska Division of Travel and Tourism's booth. The State Fair dates this year are Friday, August 28th through Monday, September 7th (Labor Day). A variety of time slots are open for volunteers each day. Our office will supply all volunteers with gate passes for your admittance to the fair on the days you volunteer. Parking is free at the State Fair, so no parking passes are needed. Our booth is located inside of the air-conditioned Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln.
The time slots still available are:
Daily, August 30th-September 6th: 10:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-6:00pm, 6:00pm-9:00pm
Monday, September 7th (Labor Day): 2:00pm-7:00pm
Feel free to sign up for an entire day, or just one or two time slots - whatever works with your schedule. If you are available to volunteer for any of the above time slots, please contact Ann by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by phone at 402-471-3791. If you volunteer to work at the fair booth, feel free to bring a supply of brochures from your area with you on the day you are working at the booth. This is a great opportunity to promote your corner of Nebraska along with the rest of our great state.
