Saturday, February 13, Karen Isaacs attended the Wesleyan Honors
Choir at O'Donnell Auditorium on the Wesleyan campus. Her grandson,
Michael Hull, a junior at Hastings High School, won the competition
to be a member of this elite group of students from across Nebraska.
Michael san Bass II and Laura Sunderman, also of Hastings High School,
sang Alto I. The group was under the direction of Timothy Peter,
Professor of Music at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. This Honors
Festival is sponsored every year by the Department of Music at Nebraska
Wesleyan University. Michael is the son of Jerry and Renae Hull,
who also attended this event.

Sorry to have omitted Unadilla Postmistress, Sherri Moss, from the
Groundhog write-up. She fixed a nice corner display in the Duncan
Building with coloring books, postcards, and the chance to enter a
drawing. She still has Groundhog postcards for sale.

Travis Johnson, Dakota Wesleyan University at Mitchell, South
Dakota, won the "Idol" competition with a "flawless rendition of
"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "Slide". He is the son of Dave and
Nola (Wilhelm) Johnson and nephew of the "King" Bob Wilhelm.

Friday, 2-25-1910, The Otoe Union:
C.H. Bomberger family moved to Merna, NE. Bryon Morgan's
moved to Custer Co. Most local merchants were lamenting the
competition from "mail order houses". Ada DuBois replaced
Ida Botsford at the telephone office. J.E. Wallen bought the
Frank Russell farm south of town for $10,700 and
D. Everest bought Russell's lots in town for $350.
