NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO
Friday, 9-9-1910, The Otoe Union:
A.J. Callaway leased his hotel at Douglas to a Mr. Morton from
Cook. "Earl and Frank Fey had quite a lively runaway Sunday night.
The lines came loose from the bits, Earl jumped out, but Frank
climbed over the dashboard and onto the horses back and got hold
of the bridle reign and stopped it before any serious damage
was done."
