volunteer to help oversee this activity, please call Barb at

Curtis Wolbert and daughter Cyndi, both members of the Otoe
County Genealogical Society, visitied the Rocket Detectives
after-school club on November 30. Curtis talked about how
he got started on researching his family history and the
interesting stories he has uncovered. He gave the students
new ideas on where to search for records on the internet,
and the importance of knowing American history and where
the kid's ancestors were in relation to well-known events,
such as the Civil War. Next speaker will be Judy Schwab,
on December 14, representing the Otoe County Museum of
Memories; she will have a display and speak about the
"Bluebirds", Syracuse women's semi-professional
baseball team.

Thanks to the employees of Countryside Bank for their
donation to the Unadilla Area Foundation. For the past four
years the employees and directors of the Bank decided to
donate money to different organizations in lieu of a catered
Christmas party. A pot luck dinner was held and the Bank matched
the employees donations which included: Local Food Banks,
Area Foundations, and local Fire & Rescue Squads.
