The Unadilla Safety Committee held its Safety Meeting
on March 1, 2011. The topic was "Prevent winter weather
damage to your municipal buildings." The information was

Friday, 3-10-1911, The Otoe Union:
Henry P. Farnsworth died and was buried in the Unadilla
Cemetery. Frank Yeigh hooked onto city water and was
having a furnace put in his house. The H. McCartney family
moved to Central City; Tom McCartney family moved to
Grant. A son was born to John Pells'.

The Otoe County Genealogical Society will host its March 10th
meeting at 7:00 pm at the Morton-James Public Library
at 923 First Corso in Nebraska City. The society will host its
Genealogy Workshop in both the media center and the
genealogy reference room in the library. Assistance will be
provided in the areas of "Researching Your Civil War Ancestors"
and "Breaking Through Your Genealogy Brick Walls."

The Otoe County Genealogical Society will be the local host
society for the 34th Annual Nebraska State Genealogical
Society Conference, held at the Nebraska City First United
Methodist Church, May 6th & 7th. The conference will feature
nationally renown speaker, Gail Blankenau, whose presentations
include: Breaking Through Land Records, Introduction to German
Parish Records, Dating and Identifying Your 19th Century
Photographs, Keeping up with the Jonses...and Smiths, and
Rich Resources for Poor Ancestors. Cost for the 2-day
conference is $75.00 and a 1-day session is $40.00

IRISH MUSIC CONCERT

Greenblatt & Seay's Schoolhouse Performance Series
features a concert of Irish music on Sunday,
March 13, at 2:30 pm.
The concert will be followed by light refreshments, and
a chance to chat and jam with the performers.
