The Unadilla Community Library sends a big thank you to everyone who has recently donated books: Russ & Trixie, Nina Jean, Gera, and Dianne, and to the Otoe County Genealogical Society for the purchase of three microfilm reels on early Otoe County marriages. There are also books on CD, and remember, there are computers available with internet access. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult when using them. Volunteer training will be coming up, so please contact Peggy if you're interested. Peggy also thanks everyone who worked or helped out while she was away, "Your great support for your community library has been a huge factor in its growth the past few months.

Cass County Fair 2011 Schedule

The Otoe County Genealogical Society will hold its next meeting on July 14, 2011
at the Morton-James Library in Nebraska City. It will feature a program on
"Google Earth for Genealogy". This webinar is presented by Lisa Louise Cooke.
It includes information on how to utilize "Google Earth" and its historical map
collection to assist a researcher in locating their family's ancestral homestead
or place of residence. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Guests are welcome.

FIDDLE WORKSHOP

Workshop with Daniel Slosberg on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 1 - 3 pm.
Slosberg has been playing the fiddle since he was five, and since 1999 has been portraying
Pierre Cruzatte (the fiddler on the Lewis & Clark expedition).
Pre-registration is required, enrollment is limited. Fee is $20

The Lofte Community Theatre presents "Annie"

Ellie Swanson stars in the title role; Kris Raasch portrays the cantankerous Oliver Warbucks; and Anna Stroebel plays the canniving Miss Hannigan. The production is directed by Kevin Colbert.
Performance dates are: July 22-24, 28-31, and August 4-7.
Adults: $18 Children under 12: $10
