Looking for something different to do this weekend? How about the OZtoberfest in Wamego, Kansas? (Thanks Maisie!) It houses the Wizard of OZ Museum with props and memorabilia from the movie, and three of the original Munchkins will be signing autographs. There's a Yellowbrick Road Rally and a Ruby Red Slipper Run. When you get hungry, you can find something to eat at "Toto's Tacos". If you go, please take some photos for us!

On Friday, October 7th at the last home regular season varsity football game against Auburn, Syracuse FCCLA will be hosting a tailgate supper feed. The menu for the event will be roasted chicken sandwiches, garlic-herb mashed potatoes, corn, a dessert bar/cookie, and water/lemonade. The price will be $5 per plate. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Eppley Foundation for Cancer Research.

All spectators are encouraged to wear PINK to the game for PINK-OUT AGAINST CANCER event. FcclA members will be selling PINK OUT t-shirts from Sept. 9th - 19th. They will also be on sale at the game on Oct. 7th. Thanks in advance for your support!

Instead of a meeting on October 13th, OCGS encourages you to attend "Nebraska in the Civil War", 7 pm, Morton-James Public Library, 923 First Corso, Nebraska City. GAR Museum curator, David Wells, will give the presentation. He uses Nebraska City and Omaha newspapers from that time period, explores what was being reported here in the Nebraska Territory, and how it affected our response to the war effort.

Hope to see you there!
