Saturday morning, OCGS members Bob & Barb Wilhelm, and Mary

Boardman Hanke, placed the sign for District #80, Pleasant Dale

School, near 26th and "N" Roads.Also helping was Jerrod Henke, son

of landowner, Dean Henke. This is where the women's mother,

Darlene Fisk Boardman, taught school before she was married.

They then went to the farmstead of Dennis Wendeln where the

building is now.

It was good to see Rita Mitchell out the other day. She's slowly

recuperating at home from surgery.

From Peggy Leefers: The Unadilla Community Library board

wishes to thank everyone in the area for their generous support of the

library this past year with donations of great books, monetary

support through the All-Fund Drive and privately, and the many

patrons who us the library regularly. We are so pleased to be of

Mike & Rebecca Brungardt, Blake and Hayden, had the Hull family

Christmas dinner on December 17, at their home in York. Those attending

were: Jerry, Renae, Michael, and Matthew Hull, Hastings; Harold and

Sue Hull, Douglas; JoDee Juilfs, Bennet; Ben Semin and friend, Lincoln;

Randy & Jeanie Steinkuhler and Dale & Karen Isaacs, Unadilla; Russell,

Kevin, and Kaylee Hull; Meagan Poppas, Memphis, TN; All had a great

time and the weather cooperated for the little ones to play outside.

A gift exchange was held later in the afternoon. Santa was good to all.

Those away at college and unable to attend were: Jon Poppas,

Addison Poppas, and Spencer Semin.

Christmas Eve Day, Dale & Karen Isaacs dinner guests were:

Melton & Edra Dixson, Otoe, Eileen Isaacs, Nebr. City, Alma Peirson,

Syracuse, and her son, Bob Hartman, Arkansas, Russell, Kevin, and

Kaylee Hull. A gift exchange was held later in the afternoon.

Edra Dixson, Otoe, had an early birthday cake and ice cream for her

husband, Melton, on January 2, at their home. Eileen Isaacs, Nebr. City,

and Dale & Karen Isaacs, Unadilla helped with his 11 a.m. birthday

celebration. The "early" party was due to the 12:00

Nebraska football game.

Friday, 1-12-1912, The Otoe Union:

Russell & Wallen had received a boxcar load of wire and nails.

The temperature was 16 degrees below zero. Basketball practice

resumed at the Town Hall. A son was born to Phillip Muellers'.

Hiram Gorsage and W.F. Hair moved into their new buildings.

meeting at 7 pm at Linden View Assisted Living, 1720 Linden Street,

Syracuse. This will be a Society planning meeting to schedule
