From Janet Twohig: "Dear Unadilla Groundhog fans, in 25 years the
United Methodist Women have missed serving lunch during the
Groundhog Celebration only twice. Sorry we missed you! We have been
calling some contributors as they made their way to the church. We are
hoping you will give us another chance next year. All purchased
perishables were donated to the Lincoln City Mission."

We have had different folks who walk in the gym during the morning
ask if we will be bringing back the "Senior Coffee" that the school used
to have. We have decided to give it a try! Coffee, hot chocolate, and rolls
will be served each Tuesday morning in Room #1 beginning
March 6th. We will try it the whole month of March and see what
the attendance is like, before we make it permanent.
Come and join us!

From Peggy Leefers: Two new books,
"By Train They Came", and "Plains Bound: Fragile Cargo", will
be in this week. They were written by Nebraska author,
Charlotte Endorf. Charlotte was the speaker at Groundhog Day
and gave such an interesting program about the Orphan Trains
that came through Nebraska, we felt we wanted her books in the
library. History books have only recently contained information
about the Orphan Trains. The library also houses about 20 books
on quilts, their history, and some have patterns included. All are
available for check out when you are planning your next quilt
project, large or small. The 70 entries in the Groundhog Day
quilt show spanned time from the 1880's to the present with
quilts from almost every decade on display. We look forward to our
next quilt show.
