the 1940 Federal Census is now available and just waiting to be indexed. OCGS hosted a workshop Thursday night at the Unadilla Library to show members how to index. It's fun and interesting. If you have a computer and would like to try it, please let me know! (Thanks to Mary Hanke for giving the workshop and her donation of items for the research room.)

Did you know if you started using cloth napkins it would keep 500,000+ tons of paper based trash out of landfills each year? Even considering the cost of laundering those napkins, the impact on the planet would be huge!

Does anyone have any black iris they would consider sharing?
