Cay Rowley shared this photo of a squirrel that visits her feeder. It is a cross between a black and brown squirrel - notice the brown patch on its back and the brown highlights in its tail. Cool!

Friday, 7-5-1912, The Otoe Union:

Wm. Stilwell shipped a carload of porkers to Omaha. "The boys say that Dr. Farwell is comtemplating doing some campaign work during the fall evenings as he has reserved some stumps from which to make speeches." "A sudden storm blew up Tues. evening and was accompanied by some sharp wind. The day had been sultry and the people were in an apprehensive mood and scurried to their houses as it exploded. At Berlin a heavy rain fell. Here the wind damaged some trees and a few drops of rain fell, that ending the extent of the storm." (Sounds familiar, doesn't it?)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that RA Wassenberg Inc dba The Bar has filed in due form for an annual catering license.

Said applicant’s place of business is 359 Main Street, Unadilla, NE 68454.

Notice is hereby given that written protests to the issuance of said license may be filed by any resident of the Village of Unadilla on or before 7:30 p.m. on July 11, 2012, in the office of the Village Clerk, Unadilla Community Center, in the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska. At that time a hearing will be held to determine whether said license should be allowed.

Visitors needing special accommodations should contact the Village Office at least five (5) days prior to the hearing date.
