Team Travis wants to thank each and every one of you who donated, purchased items, ate, drank and/or supported the benefit and Karla in any way. We found it heartwarming and very moving to look out in the crowd and see how many "down home" people had came to support her & her family. Your generosity has been amazing and greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

We would like to welcome Deb Gress, owner and operator of
"Cravings", to the Community Center. She will serve lunch from the
old kitchen from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays. Stop by and say
"Hi" and enjoy some great home-cooking. I had lunch there on the
29th and it was yummy!

Once again area residents can honor their veterans by bringing
items to display at the Fair Center, Wednesday, November 7,
from 8 am to 2 pm. Make sure your photos are in frames and
that you have your name on the back. The displays will be
open to the public November 8 - 14, with special events planned
for Sunday, November 11, Veteran's Day.

Preparation has begun for the street improvement projects next
year. If you drive past the park, you'll notice a
BIG difference!

Bob & Barb Wilhelm helped their grandsons celebrate birthdays
over the weekend. We're used to seeing empty fields around here, but
in southeast Iowa, there's still a lot of corn left in the fields. We also
noticed the windmills along I-80 are inching their way towards
Omaha. Hope I'm around when they "jump" the border
into Nebraska!
