NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO
Friday, 1-24-1913, The Otoe Union:
There were a lot of cases of whooping cough. "George Luff
shipped a very fine car of Whiteface cattle to Omaha. They were a
pretty sight to behold." Sons were born to Al Deming's and
Earl McCormick's, and a daughter to Mark Kramer. "The wolf
hunt southwest of town did not result in any captures as the
west line was not organized and the varmits got out on
that end."
