Happy Easter

Gera Stilwell reports: The Unadilla, Paisley, and surrounding area are

featured in a quilt at the Nebraska State Historical Society,

15th & P Streets, Lincoln. It is part of a quilt display about the 1862

Homestead Act. There are 420 names embroidered on the quilt

and the center says "Paisley Pioneers 1894". The quilt was finished

by Maude Luff of Palmyra. The Society has given permission for

the quilt to be photographed by visitors. Also on the 3rd floor

is a display of the art of John Falter, Falls City, who did so many

wonderful magazine covers. The only Nebraska Miss America,

2011, has gowns and other items exhibited. On the first floor,

there is a fine display of Terri Lee dolls (they are similar to

American Girl dolls and were made in Lincoln in the 1950's).
