The Unadilla Volunteer Fire Department held its annual

banquet Sunday, March 24, with 30 people attending. Most

fire calls answered was Tyler Crownover, and most rescue calls

was Irene Rodaway. Gordon Hopp received an Admiralship in the

Great Nebraska Navy from Governor Heineman for 45 years of

service to the Department. We sometimes forget how much this

group does for our community; thank goodness they are always

there when we need them.

Gang of_Dogs

Please renew your dog licenses by April 30th.

Also, since the revision of the Comprehensive Plan for

Unadilla, which took place in April last year,

residents are limited to a total of three animals

within city limits.

Michele & Matt Capps hosted a barbeque and Easter

egg hunt for friends and family Saturday evening. The food

was great. A good time was had by all. Hope the

Easter bunny found your house!

UNADILLA VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chairman and Board of

Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, will meet in a

publicly convened session on Wednesday, April 10, 2013,

at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Library, 770 G Street, Unadilla,

Nebraska. The agenda of subjects to be considered at said

meeting is kept continuously current and available for

public inspection at the Village Office. The tentative agenda

for this meeting includes:

1.   Appoint & swear in clerk/treasurer

Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be

enlarged later than twenty-four hours before the scheduled

commencement of the meeting. Any persons needing special

accommodations should contact the Village Office at least

five days prior to the meeting date.

Friday, 4-4-1913, The Otoe Union:

It was learned that the Hopewell area was hit hard by the

Easter Sunday tornado. Donations were being taken for the

Durbin family who lost everything. Syracuse took the lead in

the relief efforts for the entire county, gathering food, clothing,

furniture, and providing emergency housing. Palmyra was

forming a Masonic Lodge, H.C. McKee was

selected as Master.
